This paper is designed to present a theological reflection on Romans 1:16 regarding the centrality of the gospel in the development of congregational faith. Romans 1:16 underlines the gospel which is the power of God to save the lives of believers. The gospel must play a central role in developing the faith of the congregation. In this modern era, the gospel can protect the church in the midst of an era of high secularization. The gospel can also protect the church in the midst of truth relativism. Through the gospel, individual and communal faith life will be built precisely and strongly in accordance with the truth of God's Word. The gospel will bring the faith life of the congregation to grow and develop according to the truth of God's Word. The gospel will also bring the communal life of the congregation to be ready to welcome God's mission. Through a descriptive qualitative approach, the author will conduct a theological reflection of Romans 1:16. This theological reflection will emphasize the central position of the gospel in the development of the congregation's faith. This research provides a dogmatic and teaching contribution to apply the centrality of the gospel in accordance with Romans 1:16 in the development of congregational faith.
Abstrak
Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk menghadirkan sebuah refleksi teologis dari Roma 1:16 mengenai sentralitas Injil dalam pengembangan keimanan jemaat. Roma 1:16 menggarisbawahi tentang Injil yang merupakan kekuatan Allah untuk menyelamatkan kehidupan orang percaya. Injil harus berperan sentral dalam mengembangkan keimanan jemaat. Di era modern ini, Injil dapat menjagai jemaat di tengah-tengah era sekularisasi yang tinggi. Injil juga dapat menjagai jemaat di tengah relativisme kebenaran. Melalui Injil, kehidupan keimanan individu dan komunal akan terbangun secara tepat dan kuat sesuai dengan kebenaran Firman Tuhan. Injil akan membawa kehidupan keimanan jemaat untuk bertumbuh dan berkembang sesuai dengan kebenaran Firman Tuhan. Injil juga akan membawa kehidupan komunal jemaat untuk siap menyambut misi Allah. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif, penulis akan melakukan sebuah refleksi teologis dari Roma 1:16. Refleksi teologis ini akan menegaskan tentang posisi sentral Injil di dalam pengembangan keimanan jemaat. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa refleksi teologis yang muncul dari Roma 1:16 dalam kehidupan jemaat ialah Injil menjadi sentral yang berperan signifikan dalam mengembangkan iman jemaat. Penelitian ini memberikan sebuah sumbangsih dogmatis dan pengajaran untuk menerapkan sentralitas Injil sesuai dengan Roma 1:16 di dalam pengembangan keimanan jemaat.
